Rick Trolsen




  • Rick attended Berklee College of Music

  • From 1991 to 1998 lead a jazz/rock group Neslort which released two CDs

  • Traveled to Rio de Janeiro to record Choro music from early part of the 20th century

  • Won Offbeat Magazine 2010 award for best “World/Reggae Band”

  • After hurricane Katrina he started to record trad jazz music and
    in 2006 & 2007 he released New Orleans Lullaby and Sunrise on Bourbon Street

  • Played a two year stint with New Orleans powerhouse group Bonerama

  • With Threadhead Records Rick will be release his latest CD "Mystical Scam"

  • His versatility has found him on the bandstand with Dr. John, Clarence “Gatemouth”Brown, the O’Jays,
    Al Hirt, The Dukes of Dixieland, the Tommy Dorsy Orchestra, Henry Mancini, Rosemay Clooney, the Woody Herman Band,
    The Temptations, Al Grey, Barry Manilow, Bo Hope Steve Allen, Aretha Franklin, Boz Scaggs, The Four Tops,
    Doc Severinsen, Johnny Cash, Harry Connick Jr. and Natalie Cole.
